Krugman makes a mistake

Part of the problem is that boring banking would mean poorer bankers, and the financial industry still has a lot of friends in high places.

From his eminence, it’s easy write that first sentence, but boring banking would not mean poorer bankers. Boring banking would mean bankers who are only ordinarily rich — say, like well-off doctors, lawyers, dentists and other high-compensated professionals — rather than obscenely rich.
